Special Issue on Human Capital and Economics
Human Capital and Economics is a field of
study that examines how individuals’ knowledge, skills, education, health, and
experience contribute to economic productivity, income distribution, and
long-term growth. Rooted in economic theory, it views investment in education,
training, and health as forms of capital accumulation that enhance labor
efficiency and innovation. Research in this area explores the links between
human capital formation and outcomes such as employment, wages, technological
progress, inequality, and national competitiveness, as well as the role of public
policy in fostering inclusive and sustainable economic development.
In this
