Special Issue on Youth and Society
Youth and Society is an interdisciplinary
field that examines the dynamic relationships between young people and the
social, cultural, economic, and political contexts in which they live. It
focuses on how social structures, institutions, and policies shape youth
identities, opportunities, behaviors, and life trajectories, while also
highlighting the active role of young people as agents of social change. The
field addresses key issues such as education, employment, family, digital
media, inequality, participation, and well-being, with particular attention to
diversity, globalization, and generational change. By integrating perspectives
from sociology, psychology, education, and public policy, Youth and Society
aims to inform research, practice, and policy that support the healthy
development and social inclusion of young people.
