  It was interesting
   to read the recent article regarding the efficacy of Empagliflozin in reducing all cause and cardiovascular mortality [1]. Superficially, the report appears to be very promising. However, the methodology, the results and the conclusions deserve and need further scrutiny and validation for several reasons.
