ABSTRACT: The application of Sobolev gradient methods for finding critical points of the Huxley and Fisher models is demonstrated. A comparison is given between the Euclidean, weighted and unweighted Sobolev gradients. Results are given for the one dimensional Huxley and Fisher models.
