  ABSTRACT: Intracranial plasmacytomas are infrequently encountered in neurosurgical practice, and the literature consists predominantly of isolated case reports. We present the first English medical literature case of intracranial epidural plasmacytoma with no calvarial lytic changes masquerading as an extradural hematoma in a 60 year-old-man. In addition, we discuss the pathogenesis of this unusual tumor location with brief review of the relevant literature concerning its treatment and outcome.
