ABSTRACT: Prostatic small cell carcinoma (PSCC) is a distinct clinical phenotype of prostate cancer. Although rare, this phenotype is highly aggressive with very high mortality. Due to this, it is imperative for clinicians to be aware of it, diagnose it early and treat it appropriately. In this article we discuss the current literature, outline a plan for its diagnosis and management, and highlight latest research on this topic.
