ABSTRACT: We present an overview of approaches to selfvalidatingone-dimensional integration quadrature formulas anda verified numerical integration algorithm with an adaptivestrategy. The new interval integration adaptive algorithm deliversa desired integral enclosure with an error bounded by a specifiederror bound. The adaptive technique is usually much moreefficient than Simpson’s rule and narrow interval results canbe reached.
