ABSTRACT: In this paper, a technical review with recent advances of the microstrip antennas loaded with shorting posts is presented. The overall size of the antenna is significantly reduced by a single shorting posts and the effect of the various parameters of shorting posts on short-circuit microstrip antenna is also discussed.
