  ABSTRACT: Granite powder filled epoxy and polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) toughened epoxy composites were prepared. The variation of the mechanical properties such as tensile, flexural, compressive strengths and impact with filler content was evaluated. The effect of the silane coupling agent on the properties of these composites and the chemical resistance and water absorption of these composites was studied. The composites with 50% granite powder showed better properties.
