  ABSTRACT: Diabetes mellitus, hypertension and obesity are associated with endothelial dysfunction. Microalbuminu-ria is an early sign of endothelial dysfunction. The occurrence of microalbuminuria in long standing diabetes mellitus and hypertension is well established.
