ABSTRACT: New protocols and procedures for reducing medical errors will be discussed and evaluated in this paper. Further Computerized Physician Order Entry and Clinical Decision Support Systems coupled with monitoring of adverse drug events will be explored. Then lastly some common mistakes of “Wrong-Side” type surgeries and methods to prevent them will be discussed.
