ABSTRACT: Global population aging has accelerated in recent decades, creating significant impacts on healthcare systems, social welfare, and labor structures. In response, many developed countries have shifted from passive care models to policies that promote active aging and extended social participation. This study adopts a literature review approach to examine global aging trends and analyze the policy directions of major nations, thereby outlining emerging strategies for addressing the challenges of an aging society. The study further explores the creative capacities and potential contributions of retired teachers. Existing literature indicates that retired teachers, with their rich instructional experience and professional expertise, continue to demonstrate creativity in community education, intergenerational programs, and knowledge-sharing activities. Their active engagement positions them as valuable human resources in aging societies. By synthesizing relevant findings, this study highlights the social value of retired teachers and provides reference insights for future research and policy development.
