ABSTRACT: Taxonomic and faunistic updates on the Afrotropical Spilomelinae (Lepidoptera, Crambidae) based on material from Saudi Arabia and Oman are presented. Two new species are described, namely Chabulina acutalis sp.n. and Herpetogramma rectangularis sp.n. The adults and the internal morphology are described and figured for each of the new species. The female genitalia of Herpetogramma rectangularis sp.n. are unknown. The character states differentiating each of the species from its closest congeners are listed. A determination key to Chabulina acutalis sp.n. and its closest Afrotropical relatives is provided. Distributional and taxonomic updates on four further described species are given. Hymenia perspectalis (Hübner, 1796) is reported as new to the Arabian Peninsula. Glyphodes stolalis Guenée, 1854, Bradina triangularis Seizmair, 2022 and Arnia nervosalis Guenée, 1849 are reported as new to Saudi Arabia. The male and female genitalia of G. stolalis are re-described. The diagnostic characters in the adults and in the internal morphology are listed for each of the species.
