  ABSTRACT: In recent years, the research, development, and application of Affective Brain-Computer Interfaces (aBCIs) have advanced rapidly, demonstrating broad prospects across diverse domains. This paper examines how aBCI challenges informed consent, autonomy, privacy, non-maleficence, beneficence, and justice in clinical and consumer settings. It also considers the allocation of responsibility among users, clinicians, developers, manufacturers, and institutions when computational systems participate in affective inference or intervention. By examining the technical characteristics and potential effects of aBCI, the paper clarifies the contexts, functions, and limitations of applying fundamental bioethical principles to this field.
