ABSTRACT: The fundamental nature of matter is a core challenge in physics. Experiments such as the annihilation of electron-positron pairs and the photoelectric generation of electron-positron pairs in a vacuum fully demonstrate the phenomenon of mass-energy equivalence, and the mass-energy equation reveals the conversion relationship between energy and mass. This paper takes the electron as a typical object of study and, based on the author’s previous original theory, “Electron Energy-Locked Topology—A Physical and Mathematical Model of Figure-8 Electromagnetic Standing Waves + Eigen-Drift,” derives various characteristic parameters of the electron. These values are in complete agreement with existing experimental data, particularly the electron’s quantum rest energy E = hv = 0.511 MeV. This paper focuses on the energy-locking topology featuring a figure-8 electromagnetic standing wave combined with intrinsic drift, which enables the localized locking of electromagnetic energy and establishes a complete configuration for long-term stable energy confinement. This topology clarifies the microscopic critical conditions for the conversion of energy into mass, opens a microscopic pathway for the transformation of pure energy into tangible matter, and provides a novel theoretical approach for elucidating the fundamental origin of matter.
