ABSTRACT: This paper has a main focus on the analysis of social and project impact assessment consolidated in the study of the breakdown the barrier of the mining and energy provider company Samarco in Mariana, MG which caused an impact both economically and socially for the city, the company and closer regions. Also presenting social situations resulting from this natural disaster, such as the impact on health and even the proliferation of yellow fever to the State of São Paulo and the estimated social cost of it. Using both the Economics and Business Administration theories for environment, public administration and sustainability. Focused primarily on showing the action of business management on governance analysis and assessments.
