ABSTRACT: This study examines the development of collaborative and interconnected digital cultural applications through the project “Weaving Bonds”, created by twenty adult learners in Corfu. The project combined local cultural references with digital storytelling, visual design, and the creation of online cultural content. The research examines the process through which participants transformed diverse historical, photographic, and symbolic material into a coherent digital representation of place. Attention is given to the ways in which images, colors, symbols, spatial arrangements, and narrative elements were selected, adapted, or excluded during the development of the final applications. The analysis shows that the representation of local identity emerged through an ongoing process of interpretation, negotiation, and aesthetic refinement rather than through the simple presentation of cultural information. The study concludes that visual thinking and semiotic transfer can contribute to the creation of digital cultural works that communicate as a living field of memory, experience, and collective identity.
