  ABSTRACT: This paper aimed to determine the factors of patient satisfaction in Bujumbura’s private hospitals and so highlighted the determinants of patient satisfaction in Burundi’s national reference private hospitals. Patients were satisfied according to the indicators results, such as reliability, helpfulness, assurance services, the tangibility of services, and empathy. Nevertheless, for some indicators of satisfaction as the atmosphere during their stay in the hospital and the individualized interest given by the care to each patient, facilities available for their treatment, and the politeness of staff in public hospitals, a statistically significant difference has been revealed respectively depending on the length of time the patient has been in the hospital, patient’s level of education, and the patient’s gender (F-exact, p-value
