ABSTRACT: In this article, my encounters with blackbirds, which motivated me to study the blackbird’s song, are reviewed, and the state of knowledge about blackbirds is recalled. The article is based on the Voix 004 - Voix 013 song samples of a blackbird’s song acquired by means of the application Enregistreur Vocal installed on a Galaxy S20 FE 5G phone. The sample analysis has been performed by means of the program Audacity 3.7.8. The waveform diagrams, the spectrograms, and the Fourier analysis of the samples are presented and commented upon. The Audacity instructions used in the analysis are included in the article.
