ABSTRACT: This study examined the perceived attractiveness of four different personality types via Tinder on a university campus at a large Southwestern university. This study used Don Lowry’s True Colors personality test as a framework. Participants were randomly assigned to view one of four different versions of a mock-up Tinder profile including a message reflecting one of the four different personality types: Blue, Green, Gold, and Orange. Results showed participants perceived the Gold color personality of the profile as the most attractive and subsequently more likely to engage in behavioral response to this personality type.
