ABSTRACT: This report presents a comprehensive environmental impact assessment of the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse in Baltimore, Maryland, on March 26, 2024. It examines the immediate, short-term, and long-term environmental consequences of the incident, including hazardous materials risks, sediment disruption, impacts on fisheries, air quality changes, and broader social effects. Drawing upon findings from federal and state agencies, scientific institutions, and non-governmental organizations, as well as outreach and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, the study synthesizes available data and identifies key policy and research recommendations for future infrastructure resilience and ecological protection.
