ABSTRACT: Educational poverty alleviation is a fundamental strategy to block poverty intergenerational transmission and promote rural revitalization, and volunteer teaching is an important carrier to balance rural educational resources in central and western China. Integrating ideological and political education into volunteer teaching, the “Ideological and Political Education + Volunteer Teaching” model is crucial for educational poverty alleviation and moral education. Using theoretical analysis and empirical research with Longzhou, Guangxi as a case, this study explores the model’s practice, problems and optimization paths. The model has formed a preliminary practice pattern and achieved certain effects, but still faces dilemmas such as insufficient content adaptability and rigid implementation methods. Targeted optimization suggestions are put forward to provide reference for its promotion.
