  ABSTRACT: Acute ischemia of the inferior limbs is not frequent but is associated with high morbidity and mortality. The main etiologies are dominated by arterial emboli and thrombosis. We report the case of a 61-year-old male patient who presented with acute ischemia of the left lower limb caused by a cardiac arrythmia due to side effects of carbamazepine. He had a surgical treatment with a good result despite a long delay before management.
