ABSTRACT: Madagascar has 43% of its population under 15 years old, 80% of whom are under 5 years old, and child mortality rates remain high according to the survey demographic in 2021. Access to quality care services remains a major challenge in Madagascar. The objective of this study was to evaluate parents’ satisfaction with the quality of care provided to their children in the pediatric departments of the four University Hospital Centers (CHU) of Analamanga. A descriptive cross-sectional approach was used to collect data from the 313 parents of these CHU. Parents reported an overall satisfaction rate of 62.6% regarding the quality of care. Satisfaction was low with respect to: parental involvement (41.2%), the cleanliness of toilets and showers (55.3%), the variety of meals in the cafeteria (9.3%), the discharge procedure (57.8%), and information about monitoring (54%).
