ABSTRACT: This study explores the intrinsic connection between cultural heritage preservation and library reading promotion. The paper begins by outlining the significance of cultural heritage preservation and its pivotal role in library activities, highlighting the positive impact of reading promotion initiatives on cultural transmission. Through analyzing practical cases of reading promotion in university libraries, it identifies current challenges and difficulties encountered in implementation. Building on this foundation, the research develops a strategic framework for library reading promotion from the perspective of cultural heritage preservation, covering fundamental principles of strategy formulation, goal setting, and in-depth analysis of specific strategies. The paper further elaborates on the implementation steps and key elements of these strategies, while establishing an evaluation system of effectiveness indicators. This framework aims to provide solid theoretical support and practical guidance for reading promotion efforts in university libraries.
