ABSTRACT: The article studies the main factors affecting the pile drum of a cotton cleaning device for removing small impurities. As a result of the study, graphs were constructed, and the influence of the pile diameter and the rotation speed of the pile drum on the overall cleaning efficiency was analyzed in the graphs. As a result, it was found that at low values of the drum rotation speed, the cleaning process is not active enough and the efficiency is relatively low, and as the rotation frequency increases, the effect on the cotton mass increases and the probability of separation of small impurities increases. As a result of the study, the optimal values of the main factors affecting the operation of the device were determined.
