ABSTRACT: This study investigates the impact of trade liberalization on economic growth in East African Community (EAC) countries from 1990 to 2020. Using a Panel Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model, the author finds that trade liberalization has a significant positive long-term effect on economic growth. However, the short-term impact is statistically insignificant.
