ABSTRACT: The influence of female hormones on periodontal tissue is well documented for a number of conditions, such as puberty and pregnancy...Low oestrogen levels following the decrease or cessation of ovarian function may also, to show relationship between menopause and periodontal disease. The menopause is one period during which various symptoms will be declared. Some can relate to the oral cavity, they are mainly the symptoms of oral discomfort, gingivitis and periodontitis.
