  ABSTRACT: This study characterizes fodder plants consumed by ruminants in five departments of Cameroon’s Far North region through farmer interviews and direct observation. It identifies 65 herbaceous and 29 woody species, with Poaceae and Fabaceae being the dominant families. The findings indicate that leaves are the primary plant part consumed and highlight key forage species such as Pennisetum purpureum and Faidherbia albida.
