ABSTRACT: Artificial intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing organizations worldwide, with rapid advancements yielding both unprecedented opportunities and new risks. In this article, we synthesize scholarly literature and organizational case studies to examine the current state of AI, evaluating its key advantages—such as efficiency, decision support, and scalability—and downsides, including bias, job displacement, and ethical dilemmas. The analysis explores how AI shapes organizational behavior, leadership, and human-AI collaboration through a novel Human-AI Integration Continuum framework. The discussion incorporates the authors’ previous research and contemporary developments, concluding with recommendations for responsible AI stewardship and expanded future research directions, while highlighting the evolving human context at the heart of technological progress.
