ABSTRACT: As a renowned historical and cultural city, Xi’an boasts a wealth of folk activities. These traditions not only carry profound cultural significance but also present challenges in translation due to linguistic differences and cultural context barriers. This paper briefly introduces Xi’an’s historical and folk culture, applying cultural translation theory through case studies to explore how translators can accurately convey the essence of these folk traditions. The analysis aims to achieve effective cross-cultural communication while preventing cultural misunderstandings and loss.
