ABSTRACT: Oral lichen planus (OLP) is a chronic inflammatory condition with diverse clinical presentations, the reticular form being the most common. A rare pigmented variant presents as dark brown macules resulting from melanocytic hyperactivity driven by chronic inflammation. Although benign, this post inflammatory pigmentation requires regular monitoring due to the malignant transformation risk associated with OLP. In this article, we report a rare case of pigmented oral lichen planus involving an unusual anatomical location.
