ABSTRACT: This study uses a participatory, mixed-methods approach to investigate the impacts of seasonal flooding on the indigenous Wapichan village of Aishalton, Guyana. It combines local knowledge from focus groups and interviews with remote sensing and GIS to map flood exposure and identify community-led coping strategies. The findings highlight the importance of indigenous knowledge in building resilience to climate-related hazards and informing disaster risk management.
