ABSTRACT: This paper investigates the impact of economic growth and government effectiveness on sustainability in 106 developing and 122 developed regions, focusing on the post COVID-19 era. Using scatterplot graphics and robust panel data regression analysis, the findings suggest that economic growth has a significant effect on sustainability, with varying results within developing and developed countries. In both developing and developed regions, economic growth has both positive and negative effects on sustainability. Government effectiveness has positive, yet remarkably more negative, effects on sustainability in both developing and developed regions.
