ABSTRACT: Central venous catheterization is widely used in clinical practice. Catheter-related thrombosis (CRT) is one of the most common complications following catheter insertion, significantly impacting patients’ quality of life and potentially threatening their lives. This article reviews risk factors from patient-related factors, underlying diseases, puncture-related factors, catheter-related factors, and infection. The aim is to provide a reference for clinical nursing practice to reduce the risk of thrombosis and enhance catheterization safety.
