ABSTRACT: From its inception, bars have been predominantly male-dominated spaces. The moment women step into bars reflects the changes in their own drinking behavior and the updated societal perception of women’s roles. The drinking habits, attitudes, and the impact of gender perception on drinking behaviors of bar consumers are mainly explored. The survey utilizes convenience sampling and snowball sampling, and the data undergo reliability analysis and visualization research. The Kruskal-Wallis test for multiple independent samples is employed to analyze the impact of gender cognition on drinking behavior. Empirical analysis reveals that different genders exhibit varying responses regarding drinking habits, attitudes towards drinking, and behavior towards being persuaded to drink. It is also found that the attitudes of bar consumers towards women drinking determine their different views on women’s drinking. The act of raising a glass in bars is no longer considered merely an adjunct practice in male-dominated culture but is recognized as a practical platform for reconstructing female identity and public presence in an evolving social context.
