ABSTRACT: The common law legal system places a strong emphasis on predictability and consistency, ensuring that legal outcomes are foreseeable and uniform. With the rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI), the legal landscape is undergoing a transformation, as AI introduces data-driven predictive models that aim to enhance judicial efficiency. AI-driven predictive justice leverages algorithmic analysis and big data to anticipate legal decisions, reducing uncertainty and improving legal consistency. However, scholars argue that law inherently contains uncertainty, making complete predictability unattainable due to the evolving nature of legal principles and societal needs. This paper explores the feasibility of AI-driven predictive justice and its potential societal implications. It examines whether AI judges could enhance legal predictability compared to human judges while addressing concerns related to bias, transparency, and ethical considerations. Additionally, the study investigates whether AI’s role in judicial decision-making could improve legal efficiency without compromising fairness and due process. Ultimately, this paper aims to assess how AI can be integrated into the legal system as a complementary tool, rather than as a complete substitute for human judgment.
