ABSTRACT: As a special subset within the college student population, college students with disabilities have increasingly drawn attention to the issues concerning their ideological and political education. Currently, college students with disabilities face problems such as a relatively low level of ideological and political education and prominent mental health issues. This paper begins with an examination of the current status of ideological and political education for college students with disabilities, analyzes the existing problems in this field, and proposes countermeasures from the aspects of organizational leadership, mental health education, practical education, and classroom teaching.
