  ABSTRACT: Individuals are always interacting and communicating with their environment, but there are many factors that affect the quality of this interaction and communication. These factors may be influenced not only by personal characteristics but also by external factors. People’s previous experiences, personal characteristics, interests, attitudes and expectations can influence their interpersonal relationships. Besides, another factor worth mentioning in the relationships between people is their emotional intelligence, which predisposes them to have positive relationships with others and makes them less likely to report negative interactions with close friends.
