  ABSTRACT: As an important part of the traditional culture of the Chinese nation, sports intangible cultural heritage is of great value to strengthen the consciousness of the Chinese nation community. By using the methods of literature and logical analysis, this paper systematically examines the value function of sports intangible cultural heritage in casting the consciousness of the Chinese nation community, and puts forward the practical path of sports intangible cultural heritage to promote the consciousness of the Chinese nation community from the five dimensions of politics, economy, culture, society and ecology. Through multi-dimensional value empowerment, sports intangible cultural heritage can effectively promote the communication and integration of all ethnic groups, and provide a new direction for sports to promote the awareness of the Chinese national community.
