  ABSTRACT: The objective of this descriptive study is to present the management of acute traumatic wounds in an emergency structure in a developing country, the case of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Sampling was exhaustive and covered a total of 232 patients, each presenting a single wound and meeting our inclusion criteria. The age group of 20 to 29 years was the most represented, with a proportion of 27.2%. A delay of
