ABSTRACT: Background: Missions organized by international societies and humanitarian organizations play a significant role in saving many patients’ lives and improving their quality of life, despite the surrounding frustrating conditions. Methods: A team of plastic surgery volunteers was sent to Yemen by the KSHARC. Results: A successful mission was performed on 62 patients who underwent surgery, with more than 900 patients examined and receiving appropriate medications. Conclusion: Missions in disaster-affected areas are of great importance. The role of missions and humanitarian organizations should be empowered.
