ABSTRACT: With the rise of cultural tourism industry, the development of local ethnic tourism in western Sichuan has shown a large-scale characteristic, and a large number of local villages and houses have been transformed into homestays. Taking the accommodation of traditional Xizang’s residents in Jiarong, western Sichuan as the starting point, this paper explores the current situation of Xizang’s residential stations. In order to further improve the living experience of traditional residential characteristic homestays, a five-element model of homestay user experience is constructed from the perspective of user experience. The development strategy of traditional residential homestays is discussed in the context of the booming development of cultural tourism industry and large-scale construction of homestays, providing theoretical support and new perspectives.
