ABSTRACT: Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province is an important city for the export of aquatic products in China. In order to solve some of the problems existing in the export of aquatic products in Zhanjiang City, this paper, based on the current situation of aquatic products export in Zhanjiang City, utilized the literature method and data analysis method to analyze its trade competitiveness. And this paper used two analysis models, the trade competitiveness index analysis and the explicit comparative index analysis. On the basis of quantitative analysis combined with qualitative analysis, it pointed out the problems existing in the export trade of aquatic products in Zhanjiang City, and put forward targeted countermeasure proposals according to the problems that have emerged. This may promote the healthy and steady development of the export trade of aquatic products, and improve the economic strength of Zhanjiang City.
