  ABSTRACT: This study delves into the dynamic relationship between parents and Child Protective Services (CPS) agencies using a Qualitative Inquiry Methodology Study (QIMS). Although CPS interventions aim to protect children and provide support to families, parents who have dealt with such interventions often go through significant changes in perspective. Despite the abundance of academic research on CPS interventions, there is still a significant gap in exploring the actual experiences of parents within these systems. To fill this gap, this QIMS uses in-depth interviews and thematic analysis to highlight parental voices and lived experiences. Through this research, the researcher aims to unearth the social inequalities that shape perceptions of child welfare systems. The findings of this study seek to improve the equity and efficacy of CPS interventions, ultimately fostering better outcomes for families and children.
