ABSTRACT: Procrastination behavior is one of the common troubles faced by new generation employees, and finding the causes of procrastination behavior and how to improve procrastination behavior effectively are the focus of attention of organizational managers and academics. Based on the resource conservation theory, this paper takes new generation employees as the research object, and explores the influence mechanism of workload on the procrastination behavior of new generation employees on the basis of understanding the current situation of employees’ workload and procrastination behavior. The results of the study show that there is a significant positive effect of workload on procrastination behavior, and there is a masking effect of time orientation between workload and procrastination behavior. The findings of the study provide reference for improving the procrastination behavior of new generation employees.
