ABSTRACT: This article addresses the intersection between transnational climate justice and the carbon credit market, considering the contemporary environmental changes and the dependency of economic systems on ecosystem resources. By establishing a carbon credit market in 1997, The Kyoto Protocol created a mechanism for countries to trade emission permits, promoting environmental balance. However, this approach raises questions of transnational climate justice, as the uneven distribution of burdens and benefits among countries may lead to disparities. The study seeks to elucidate how economic instruments, such as the carbon credit market, can contribute to transnational climate justice, exploring challenges of regulation and governance in this context. The goal is to emphasize the importance of transnational climate justice in the contemporary world and to examine the role of the carbon credit market in this scenario.
