  ABSTRACT: In the contemporary BANI (Brittle, Anxious, Nonlinear, Incomprehensible) landscape, characterized by fragility and high anxiety, organizations face significant challenges, impacting creativity, trust in decision-making, and promoting a competitive culture. This study explores how Knowledge Management (KM) methods and techniques can foster self-management in Knowledge-Intensive Organizations (KIOs), turning knowledge into a key driver for innovation and competitive advantage. Using an exploratory research design, this study investigates the applicable KM characteristics that enhance self-management, focusing on people, processes, and technology within KIOs. Data collection spanned extensive literature reviews across Web of Science and Scopus, focusing on self-management, KM, and KIOs. The findings reveal that integrating KM practices not only supports autonomous management among employees but also plays a pivotal role in transitioning from traditional organizational structures to innovative KIO configurations, ultimately fostering a culture that values autonomy and innovation at all levels of the organization.
