  ABSTRACT: This paper utilized the two-parameter logistic IRT model to analyze survey data of the Mental Health Diagnostic Test (MHT) administered to students in grades 4 - 6 at an elementary school. The findings indicate that the data aligns with the basic assumptions of IRT, and the parameter estimation for most items meets theoretical expectations. Since deleting certain items does not lessen the test’s information, it is suggested that 10 or 15 items be considered for revision.
