  ABSTRACT: The college student associations are important carriers to implement the fundamental task of cultivating morality and promoting quality education. They are mass student organizations that carry out activities under the leadership of the college Party committee and the guidance of the Youth League Committee according to the needs of College Students’ growth and development, combined with their own interests and specialties. Since the 18^th CPC National Congress, the Socialism with Chinese Characteristics has entered a new era. The new era endows the construction and development of college student associations with a new mission. This study deeply analyzes the problems existing in the implementation of the system, team construction, security mechanism, and educational effectiveness of college student associations in the new era, and puts forward relevant suggestions, which is of great significance to the healthy and orderly development of college student associations.
